Summer Days

Okay, so the summer has almost definately arrived. The weather was beautiful today, so sunny and bright; the hottest months havent even arrived yet!

I had such a nice feeling today - thinking 'Oh no! School tomorrow.' but then i realised. No! It's only Friday! I just love it when that happens because it's just nice to know that you haven't got any pressing appointments or anything for the following morning because its a weekend.

Had a really nice day actually. Just hanging out with friends around town, good company, good weather and good conversation is all I need to be blissfully happy. There's too much focus on the bad things in life nowadays. All over the news and in the papers is just about the credit crunch, expenses scandals and evil MP's. Granted there's the occasional story that brings a smile to your face; such as scateboarding bulldogs and apes that have learnt how to swim...but seriously - one way or another you'll still hear about the same depressing stuff as you see in every other form of media available to us.

What happened to the silver lining? What happened to the gold at the end of the rainbow?

It got stolen - thats what happened to it!
So for the sake of optimism - please, turn off the news.

Anyway...yes the subject. Talked about alot of stuff today actually. I love just talking about anything and everything with close friends. You can't beat it really. Started the ball rolling with planning a bike trip for the summer with a big group of us and that should be really good. With so much time off this summer, it's good to get planning early. Being bored generally sucks and we all know how that feels. Plan to make some friggin' awesome memories in the next few months :)
